Tomáš Jelínek
Tomáš has always moved between worlds of different professions and values. In recent years, he has been involved in communication and innovation development. Tomáš believes that while people claim that know-how can be simply purchased, what is irreplacable are the links between people which are changing the future reality. Educated as a technician and theoretical economist, he likes to look for analytical arguments for his recommendations. Interdisciplinary teamwork is, in his experience, the best foundation for finding creative solutions.
Since 2021, Tomáš has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Centre for Czech-Israeli Innovation and Partnership at the Moravian University of Olomouc, which focuses on Smart Healthcare. He heads the working group of the Czech-Israeli Joint Chamber of Commerce which has the same operational focus.

As chairman of the Jewish Community in Prague, he developed projects for home and institutional care for Holocaust survivors from 2001 to 2005. Since the 1990s, Tomáš has been involved in defending the interests of Czech victims of Nazism and their descendants in international compensation processes. For his work, he was awarded the International Mauthausen Committee’s Medal of Honour in 2004 and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Medal in 2007.
During the presidency of Václav Havel, Tomáš worked with a team of advisors in the Political Department of President‘s Office from 1996 to 2002. His special focus area was on economic issues and compensation for the victims of the Second World War. He represented the Czech Republic on the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims.
In 1995-1996, Tomáš was an advisor to Karel Dyba, Minister of Economy, where he prepared documents stating the government‘s position.
