Lyle Frink

Lyle was born in the USA, but in the 1990s decided to live in the free Czech Republic which captivated him with its fast-paced stream of changes and also with its enthusiasm for rediscovering democratic values. He is still a bit of a foreigner here and has retained his Anglo-Saxon view of the business world. He has worked as an economic journalist, copywriter and columnist. His specialty is with communications for technology companies, translating their expertise into messages which can be understood by a non-technical audience.

Lyle has worked on communication projects for a variety of clients including AVAST Software (2009-2012), Avira (2015-2020), Lego, MyQ, Nagarro, Runecast, and Safetica. This work includes research, design, and implementing communication strategies for new products in the EU and US market. He led the launch of Avast Pirate English, the first afinity variant of the antivirus software and coordinated Avira‘s ransomware PR strategy.

Lyle has worked as a journalist and editor at Brauwelt International (2002 to the present), Automotive News Europe/Crain Communications (2003-2009), the Prague Business Journal (1999-2001), and Enterprise Czech (2001-2002).

He has authored or contributed to corporate publications and reports for Deloitte CE (2003-2006), Tyco Electronics (2004-2006), HeidelbergCement (2002-2004), Expandia Finance (1997-1998), and the Czech Ministry of Finance (1993-1997).

Lyle graduated from Claremont McKenna College in California with a degree in Economics.
